A broken exhaust pipe muffler will not affect fuel consumption:

1. Generally speaking, this situation is caused by the deformation of the exhaust pipe bracket. It may be the strain of the joint between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe, or the strain of the joint of the three-way catalyst (if it is a gasoline vehicle);

2. The muffler is strained. The specific situation needs to be checked on the lift. The deformation of the bracket may cause the exhaust pipe to collide and rub against adjacent components. Better check;

3. The air leakage of the muffler will not affect the fuel consumption and power. If the air leakage is very serious, the power will be slightly improved.
